Superb overall transfer on both the 4K as on the Blu-Ray. The Blu-Ray will definitely not disappoint even though the 4K transfer will be immediately recognizable. The Blu-Ray still remains a wonderful visual experience without the flaws of the 4K version. If one closely studies both versions, le 4K will be superior. However HDR and Dolby Vision do cause visual problems of their own that you simply will not find on the Blu-Ray version.

Audio : 5/5
The choice of soundtracks is outstanding. Many ways to listen to the film are available according to your audio-visual system. Blue Underground has thought about you, the audience, and we can only congratulate them for this great and somewhat “bold” move. Kudos Blue Underground !
Bonus :
Commentary One - this audio commentary with writer/producer/director Larry Cohen initially appeared on Blue Underground’s DVD release of God Told Me To.
Commentary Two - in this brand new audio commentary was recorded by critic and filmmaker Steve Mitchell (King Cohen) and author and critic Troy Howarth. I listened to the entire commentary and thought that it was outstanding. Obviously, the bulk of the information that is shared is about God Told Me To and how Larry Cohen improvised so much of his work during its production, but there are some fantastic — and absolutely true — observations about the director’s personality and general attitude toward genre films. (Mr. Mitchel describes the latter as "charge-forward" type of attitude, which was in fact what defined Cohen’s work). So, I urge you to find the time to listen to this commentary in its entirety as well. It is one of the best I have come across in recent years.

Heaven & Hell On Earth : Interview with Star Tony Lo Bianco - in this video interview, Tony Lo Bianco discusses his contribution to God Me Told Me To, Larry Cohen’s directing methods, and the somewhat controversial sequence towards the end of the film (the close-up of the vagina on the man’s rib cage). The actor also recalls a rather unusual experience the film crew had while shooting in Little Italy. The interview was produced by Blue Underground in association with Red Shirt Pictures. In English, not subtitled. (12 min).

I’m not a fan of Larry Cohen but his films are interesting. This one in particular is very strange and I did have a hard time getting into it. This being said, this presentation is nothing short of outstanding and will surely please fans and is definitely a must to see the film or discovering it once more on a whole new level

Kindle : https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B08ZSY723W
